Clint Mansell Scoring Park Chan-wook's STOKER

Clint Mansell Scoring Park Chan-wook's STOKER: "In a weird way Clint Mansell has become the next Danny Elfman, a key figure in a cult band that has gone on to become one of the most sought after film score artists in the world with strong associations to a small cadre of directors. Elfman rose out of Oingo Boingo, Mansell out of industrial tinged act Pop Will Eat Itself. Elfman will always be linked to Tim Burton, Mansell to Darren Aronofsky.

And now Mansell will be plying his trade to the English language debut of Oldboy director Park Chan-wook, the Requiem For A Dream and Black Swan composer tapped to score Park's Stoker. Mansell is one of he absolute best in the game right now and his pairing with Park makes all kinds of sense. This is very good news indeed.

New Trailer For Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Action Thriller, Premium Rush | Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors: "There’s not really anything new in this trailer for Premium Rush, though the first edit was relatively little-watched and you might charitably call this a tighter version.

Review: SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is Dwarfed By Its Messy Ending

Review: SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN is Dwarfed By Its Messy Ending: "It's a long standing tradition that Hollywood brings us certain films in pairs. Antz came out around the time of Bug's Life, Volcano and Dante's Peak within weeks of one another, Armageddon and Deep Impact - the list goes on.

2012 saw this trend reignite with the release of two Snow White-themed films. Late Winter's Mirror Mirror starred Julia Roberts as the nasty queen, and for more than several reasons I skipped that flick. The one that actually looked promising, with its mix of genre actors capped by a dreamy monstrous Queen played by a genuinely capable actress was Snow White and the Huntsman (Shall we call it SWATH? Sure.). With its mix of Gothic-ish imagery and broad, brash character moments, one could hope based on the trailer alone that we were in for a back-to-basics take of the original grim, Grimm tale.

BREAKING: Joe Carnahan's CONTINUE Moving Ahead At 20th Century Fox

BREAKING: Joe Carnahan's CONTINUE Moving Ahead At 20th Century Fox: "It's a good time to be Joe Carnahan. Thanks to the success of The Grey, Carnahan is arguably in the best position of his career to launch the projects he wants to make and he has been taking advantage. Back in January word came out that Carnahan would write and direct a reboot of Charles Bronson classic Death Wish. And a little earlier in that same month - while on the press tour for The Grey - he spilled word of a passion project that he was hoping to get off the ground.

Titled Continue, Carnahan described the project then as an action movie spin on Groundhog Day. The story follows a former soldier forced to re-live the same day over and over while on the run from assassins trying to kill him for reasons unknown.

It's a great premise and one that would obviously play to Carnahan's strengths. And apparently the powers that be at 20th Century Fox feel the same way as Twitch has just learned that they have taken the project on and it will be moving ahead at the studio.

Someone's Put THEY LIVE On Acid And Called The Result BRANDED: "When Twitch ran the Russian trailer for Branded (aka Moscow 2017, aka The Mad Cow) three weeks back we already thought the Leelee Sobieski / Jeffrey Tambor / Max Von Sydow starring scifi film looked plenty strange. The American trailer is even stranger.
